Everything begins with a song. Hailing from Los Angeles, the city of angels, music, film, & iconography, it's hard to not be persistently wading through the wasteland for an idea. These visions of mine come and go, some more than others—stick. I am inspired by the campy horror of the '80s, '90s, & early '00s, as well as the likes of Nora Ephron & Sofia Coppola. Most recently, I am beginning pre-production on a short post-graduate queer drama.the final girl
In collaboration with my creative partner, Sydney Allaway, and our love for all things horror, 'What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?' came as our first independently produced project. Under my direction and writing, creating a final girl was vital and a ploy for genuine survival. This is an experimental hybrid piece that starts and ends with television static—is this is the beginning of an end, or the cheesy horror flick the protagonist of a larger story is watching?
