In the span of 4 years, I have had the pleasure of persistent creation. Align Magazine is a playground sandbox, you'll find projects from college 18 to 20-somethings circling intergalactic cowboys to gorpcore fairies. A little something for everybody, where any creative individual has been welcomed and their artistic spirits fostered.
Kindred Spirits
Tackling ‘gorpcore’ was a gift. Especially living in ‘gorpcore USA’—Eugene, Oregon, I knew exactly what this looked like and how I would change that. Inspired by the likes of Kim Kardashian and my own childhood admiration of early '90s animated film, Ferngully, I took a maximalist approach to how a carabiner can be used.

To Be Loved
My most personal piece by far, To Be Loved, is inspired not only by the writing piece which accompanied it, but my love for Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides and Heavn by Marc Jacobs, but also the ways in which I see myself through women. This piece describes the agony, melancholy, longing, and self-appointed yearning for a relationship gone sour, a missed call, the last voicemail, and journaling. Black and white film at low exposure was the only choice to capture the semblance of being ‘lost in love or love lost’.

This Is Dead Riot
Khalil Hines is the human embodiment of a nonchalant smile. Enigmatic. Kind. From Los Angeles, he is both a designer and filmmaker in his own right. Interviewed for Align Magazine, I wanted to approach our shoot together as a form of ‘branding’. The man behind the threads, behind the camera, the man in action. He’s a natural performer.

On Becoming A God
Otherwise my take on the power in pop supergroups & community. Inspired by the likes of Bella Hadid & Dua Lipa, especially the work of Hugo Comte, my attraction to music and my favorite sonic scapes helped build this fluorescent world, piece by piece.

Ungodly Dreams
I’m passionately indebted to Petra Collins and her work—in photography, art direction, and music video conception. Collins’ has single-handedly broadened my creative approach. Her latest work with Alexa Demie has engineered a new plane of evolving artistry for myself. In this piece, Ungodly Dreams, adorning 3 separate models into a hypnotic blue and purple-hued melodramatic atmosphere is my spin on ‘80s cult-classic The Craft.

Sun Salutation
It began as ‘minimalism’. More questions came forward than there were answers, but it came down to styling. What is more minimalist than white blouses and tops and denim jeans? A simple blush of pink above the eyes and a beautiful spot in a meadow at sunset. This is minimalism, but more so—sun salutation.
